With the Covid19 pandemic having temporarily halted public gatherings, JOY Billiards South Africa decided on going “virtual” allowing all home owners to participate in one tournament, but all from the comfort of their homes all around the country.
This ground breaking tournament is based on a break and finish concept. All that players need is a JOY Chinese Pool Table, Data and a Smart phone/tablet or laptop. This tournament is open to all ages and people of all walks of life and will give everyone a chance to win monthly cool prizes and enhance their homes.
The inaugural tournament took place on the 5th of September 2020 with 24 participants that contended from various homes around the country, youngest of which was 9 year old Reyhan Williams and it was a resounding success.
The first ever Virtual JOY Chinese Pool Home Edition Tournament title went to 19 year old Franco Kriel from Free State and he goes down into the history books as the maiden winner walking away with a 4 burner Terrace Gas Braai Stand.
Good job from fellow 19 year old Marchelino James from Western Cape for being the runner up winning himself an 8 piece patio set.
3rd Position went to 36 year old Jaques Barnard from North West, walking away with a JVC home entertainment sound system to enjoy at home!
