11 year old Rayaan Williams strikes GOLD!!
What started of as just another tournament for 11year old Rayaan Williams ended up in a victory dance as he became the champion in the 3rd Edition of the Joy Billiard’s Virtual Chinese Pool Home Series. The young ace from Mitchell’s Plain in Capetown affectionately known as “Chinaman” showed his prowess on the Chinese pool table as he pushed aside everyone who was an obstacle, enroute to claiming the big prize of the day, a R5k Makro gift voucher. The strong field of 32 players which included his brother who he almost met in the final was not enough to stop him. The rewards of investing time are very evident as this young man practically lives on the table, any free time that he has is spent honing his skills so this win was well deserved. He did not only win big on the day but also secured a spot in the big event coming up on the 5th of December where the winner will walk away with a R100 000 home make-over courtesy of Joy Billiards. Welldone Rayaan on your achievement and all the best in the big one.
Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. “Greatness will come.” This definitely seems to be the case with Kurshan Moodley who has shown indeed that consistency is key as he has featured in 2 consecutive finals of such a high pressure tournament. Narrowly losing out to Rayaan Williams in the Final he displayed yet another stand out perfomance through out the entire tournament and as such he deserved to walk away with a R3k Makro Gift voucher making it a total of R8000 in gift vouchers for him in the last 2 months. Welldone Kurshan for carrying the Durban and Q-Masters flag high in these tournaments, all the best in the big one on December 5 where the winner will walk away with a R100k home make-over.
