2020 Home Series – Grand Finale – Elzette takes GOLD
After a series of trying her luck in the JOY Billiard’s Virtual Chinese Pool Home Edition, Elzette Koen surely knows the right time to peak because she raised her hand the highest when it mattered the most. She defied all odds in full view of thousands of Chinese Pool lovers all across the world who were tuned into the Joy Billiards and Agile Sports Facebook pages and against a star studded line up of 32 players from around the country she won the Grand Prize of R100k Home Makeover. Doing it in style she defeated the almighty Aden Joseph in her first match and also claimed the scalp of South Africa’s best Jason Theron enroute to her famous victory.
In her post match interview she stunned everyone with one of the highest and yet noble acts where she said that she would be donating her entire winnings to the needy animal shelters and homeless people in Brakenfell, Capetown where she hails from.
What a humble and generous star. Wow Wow Wow!!! The world could certainly do with more people like her giving back to the less fortunate in these trying times is so humbling. So much respect for that. Well done Elzette!!!!
Age is just but a number and especially in this one frame format it really means nothing. The most senior player in the field on the day Shaeed Basadien definitely is living proof of the above statement. In only his 2nd tournament he stole the show and went all the way to the finals and having qualified viabthe lucky draw,no one would have fancied him to get there but with him being a dark horse this worked perfectly for him. For his efforts he earned himself a state of the art BING Chinese Pool Table worth R25k. This is a prize to enjoy for life and will benefit the generations to come. Well-done Shaheed!!!
This young lady from Capetown nicknamed “The Machine” showed that he is a well oiled machine as he
clawed his way to the last four and eventually succumbed to 3rd place in what was an experience infested field which did not deter him at all, his fearless attitude got him very far and he is definitely one to watch for the future. His efforts earned him a R8000 Gareth Potts Cue Set. Well-done Irfaan!!!
